Habitat: Ashe juniper-oak woodland above. Associates include Quercus fusiformis, Juniperus ashei, Garrya, Juglans microphylla, Diospyros tex., Sophora secundiflora, Ilex vomitoria, Bumelia lanuginosa, Celtis reticulata, and Ambrosia. Annual. Ray flts clear yellow. Disk flts brownish. Locally common.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
