Habitat: Locally common in fine clay in bed of dried pond in bottom of gravel pit near gas well on limestone upland. Associates include Amaranthus sp., Cynodon dactylon, Echinochloa colona, Helenium sp., Leptochloa fascicularis, Portulaca pilosa, Tridens albescens.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
