Common in open medium-stature shrubland on gravelly outwash along minor drainageway on gentle slope underlain by Segovia and Fort Terrett members of the Edwards Limestone. Shrubland dominated by Leucophyllum frutescens and Juniperus sp., with Larrea tridentata locally common on deeper soils.
