Habitat: Common in deep loose well drained noncalcareous sand over Carrizo Sand, on +/- level occasionally mown unshaded hwy r-o-w. Assc. include Acalypha radians, Aristida longespica var. geniculata, Cenchrus incertus, Chamaecrista fascicularis, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croptilon divaricatum, Diodia teres, Elyonurus tripsacoides, Eragrostis secundiflora, Eriogonum multiflorum, Eupatorium compositifolium, Euphorbia cordifolia, Froelichia floridana, Gaillardia aestivalis var. aestivalis, Gaura villosa ssp. parksii, Helianthus debilis, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Mirabilis albida, Polanisia erosa, Polygonella parksii, Polypremum procumbens, Rhynchosia americana, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sida lindheimeri, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Tephrosia lindheimeri, Trichoneura elegans, Triplasis purpurea, Urochloa texana.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
