Habitat: Rare, local on sparsely vegetated rather xeric caliche/limestone gravel outcrops at small gravel pit at foot of slope underlain by Comanche Peak Limestone. Associates include Hymenoxys scarposa, Melampodium leucanthum, Oenothera missouriensis.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
