Habitat: A dense mat of grasses and Cyperaceae in saturated alkali soil. With Sporobolus airoides, Distichlis spicata, Baccharis, Eleocharis, Cyperus, and Juncus. Erect annual 20-35 cm tall. Fls light purplish-blue. Fairly common in shade of shrubs, but most individuals past flowering now.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
