Habitat: Dry limestone bedrock arroyo in brushy Juniper woodland. Associates include Juniperus ashei, Sophora secundiflora, Acacia spp., Rhus virens, Mahonia, Celtis, Eysenhardtia texana, and Forestiera pubescens. Common twining perennial among herbs and grasses. Fls bright yellow.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
