Locality: United States, Texas, Bandera, Lost Maples State Natural Area. Ca. 250 ft. northeast of the confluence of drainage 2 and Can Creek.
Habitat: On limestone rockland southwest facing slope, ca. 250 ft. northeast of the confluence of drainage 2 and Can Creek. Frequent perennial to 75 cm. Corolla bright yellow. With Stipa leucotricha, Artistida purpurea, Sophora secundiflora, Diospyros texana, and Juniperus ashei.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
