Locality: United States, Arkansas, Washington, Near bridal trail off Overlook Trail northwest of Yellow Rock Point, in Devil's Den State Park (ca. 13 mi. W. of Winslow). T13N R31W SE1/4 S23.
Habitat: Scattered on large, exposed sandstone rocks covered with "reindeer moss". Plants not in flower. Plants from this population were cultivated until they bloomed in early July. This plant pressed July 6, 1983. Flowers pink, with 5 anthers. One plant (not this individual) from the population counted by E. B. Smith & K. L. Hornberger as 2n = 24.
