Locality: United States, California, Riverside, On the east side of the Arica mountains; approximately 2 miles northwest of Priests well, or approximately 2 miles southwest of the ghost town of Rice.

Habitat: A deep wash draining from the eastern side of the mountain range, with Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Eriogonum inflatum, Peucephyllum schottii, Perityle emoryi, Encelia farinosa, Cryptantha maritima, Gilia latifolia, Aristida adscensionis, Erioneuron pulchellum, Chamaesyce polycarpa, Atricoseris platyphylla, Cynanchum utahense, Lycium andersonii, Camissonia boothii and Schismus barbatus.; Scattered across wash bottom in rocky places.
